Wondering where your driving test route will take you on your big day? Though we don’t have access to the DVSA’s latest test routes, we can make some educated guesses based on the roads around the area. For starters, the area directly around the Isle of Mull test centre is pretty sparse, so your driving examiner won’t have you dawdling around there for long.
Instead, they’ll guide you out of the area using one of the nearby A roads, like the A848 and A849. They might take you north, up the A848 towards Tobermory, where you might be expected to demonstrate one of the manoeuvres, or they might nudge you eastwards towards Lochdon. In either case, the area is surrounded by rural roads, so you’ll need to make sure that you’re confident with facing winding roads and bends. As long as you’ve taken lessons with an ADI, however, this should be an absolute breeze!
