Arriving at Doncaster Theory Test Centre

By public transport

At just over half a mile away, you can walk from Doncaster train station to the theory test centre in a very speedy 11 minutes—great news for all of you arriving by rail! Those who prefer to take the bus needn’t worry, either. The centre is well connected to bus routes coming from every angle. We’d recommend getting off at the Nether Hall Road/Market Road bus stop. It’ll only take you 1 minute to walk from there to your theory test.

For more information on transport links and times, make your way to the Doncaster Council website.

By car

Prefer to skip the stress of public transport and take a car to the centre? Not a problem. Enter the postcode DN1 2PW into a sat nav and follow the instructions.

Parking

As is often the case, the theory test centre does not provide its own parking spaces. You’ll be pleased to hear, though, that there are plenty of cheap options nearby. The East Leith Gate car park (DN1 1JD) is just a 3-minute walk away and charges £5.90 for two hours. It boasts 102 spaces, so you shouldn’t struggle to nab a spot.

Alternatively, you could try King Street car park (DN1 1JD). It’s a 4-minute walk from the centre and is a slightly more reasonable £3 for 2 hours of parking. There are only 22 spaces available, so get there early if you plump for this option!

Pass Rates by Year

Doncaster’s pass rate does sit below the national average. However, it’s important to remember that pass rates are not really a reflection on the test centre itself. The theory test is the same wherever you take it. Pass rates simply show how the individuals who happened to take it in that location fared. Who knows, you could help push their numbers up for next year!
