Guides and Tips

No matter where you take it, the theory test itself is the same. It is composed of two parts: a multiple-choice section and a hazard perception test. The first part requires you to answer 50 questions on a range of driving topics. To prepare for this you should revise The Highway Code, traffic signs and essential driving skills. You must score at least 43 to pass this section.

For the hazard perception test you will be shown 14 video clips of various driving scenarios. You must click the mouse every time you see a developing hazard. You can practice this skill by taking mock tests and reading about potential and developing driving hazards. To pass this section you need to score at least 44 out of a possible 75.
