Telford Test Pass Rates

One of the key areas of interest for learner drivers is driving test pass rates. As there’s no way of predicting the future, pass rates are the only real way to guess how well one might do on the driving test. With that in mind, we’ve compiled Telford’s pass rates from the last five years in the table below.

What If I Can't Go To Telford?

Shropshire has a wide range of test centres available to learner drivers. If Telford test centre isn’t your cup of tea, or you’re looking for an alternative that doesn’t have long test waiting times, here are your closest options:

What To Expect On The Day

In what probably feels like the blink of an eye, your driving lessons will be over and you’ll be one step away from getting your full licence. As terrifying as this might seem, try to take a deep breath and relax. The test itself won’t be much different from a standard lesson. The only real difference is that you won’t get any help from your instructor, but by this point, you shouldn’t need it anyway.

On the day of your practical, get to Telford test centre 10 minutes before your test is due to start. Once you’ve parked up, you’ll meet your examiner and show them your provisional. You’ll then make your way through the following list:

  • An eyesight test, where you’ll need to read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres
  • Two “show me, tell me” questions covering vehicle safety and maintenance
  • Twenty minutes of general driving, where you’ll be guided by the examiner, and will also need to perform one of the following manoeuvres:
  • Twenty minutes of independent driving, during which you’ll either follow sat nav directions or sign posts to reach a set destination
