Intensive Driving Courses in Dover

All learner drivers are different, but all agree on one thing: the road to driving shouldn’t be long. Thankfully, with PassMeFast, it doesn’t have to be. Our crash courses can help you to get on the road within weeks—not months. Read on to learn more about what we have to offer learners in Dover, Deal and Sandwich.

Booking Intensive Driving Lessons in Dover

As an intensive driving school, you might expect us to offer just one type of 5-day course. Thankfully, this couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, we offer eight different courses, the shortest of which is just ten hours, while the longest includes forty-eight hours’ worth of lessons. You can compare all of them by visiting our course prices page, or by using our course recommender.

With us, the choice of how you take your lessons is up to you. If you’d prefer to take up to five hours per day in a fully intensive structure, you can! If, however, you’ve got more constraints on your time, or simply don’t want to spend quite as long in the car, we also have semi-intensive options available. This means you can take your lessons in shorter blocks of as little as two hours at a time.

Interested in automatic intensive driving lessons in Dover?

With PassMeFast, you’re not limited to manual courses. Every single one of the courses we offer can be taken in either a manual or an automatic car—it’s completely up to you. Still deciding between the two? Check out our article on manual vs automatic pass rates.

As you can see, every PassMeFast course is different—but each of them has a few things in common. When you book in, you’ll get a fast-track practical test as standard, enabling you to dodge the long waiting times that afflict most candidates. You’ll also be learning alongside one of our DVSA-approved instructors, meaning you’ll be in great hands while you’re behind the wheel. And, behind the scenes, our office team will be crossing the t’s and dotting the i’s, and arranging everything to ensure your course is in ship-shape condition.

Practical Driving Test Centres in Dover

With Dover’s port featuring frequent heavy traffic for those heading off to drive in Europe, it’s understandable that the DVSA decided not to site a practical test centre here. Despite what you may expect, though—and unlike some “guaranteed pass” companies—our intensive courses don’t involve any residential stays. With us, you’ll take your driving lessons and test close to home. Close options for Dover learners include Folkestone, a short drive down the coast, and Canterbury, further inland to the north-west.

Theory Test Centres in Dover

While Dover may not have a theory test centre of its own, it does have direct rail links to two of the four Kent theory test centres. The closest of these is the Canterbury theory test centre, which is only 16 minutes away by train, while Chatham is just under an hour away. If you’re able to get a lift, then New Romney may also be worth considering—it doesn’t have great rail links, but it’s only around 20 miles away by car.

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

Don’t forget that the DVSA stipulates that all learners must pass their theory test before they can even book a practical test. To make sure everything’s sorted in time, add a theory test onto your course when making your booking.

Driving Around Dover

While taking your course with PassMeFast, you’ll be spending at least some of your lessons in the area where your driving test is due to take place, helping you to familiarise yourself with roads likely to appear on your test route. With no test centre in Dover itself, this means you’ll be spending some time in nearby Folkestone or Canterbury, depending on where you’re taking your test.

Map of Dover within Kent

While you might not be able to take your test in Dover, Deal or Sandwich, your lessons will see you gaining skills which apply on any road throughout the UK. With a PassMeFast instructor by your side, you’ll soon by mastering the manoeuvres, conquering the controls and feeling like the king or queen of the road.
