Booking Intensive Driving Lessons in Southwark

PassMeFast believes that the road to driving doesn’t have to be long. That’s why we offer intensive driving courses rather than individual lessons. Our courses offer a structured approach to learning that helps students to become skilled drivers within just weeks.

Our courses, all of which can be found by visiting our prices page, range from our 5-hour refresher course up to our 48-hour beginners’ course. You can take any of these courses at a fully intensive or semi-intensive pace.

In an inner city area like Southwark, anything that can help make the constant traffic jams a little more bearable is welcome. It’s for this reason that many drivers are switching to automatics—with no gear changes nor clutch control to worry about, they can make the experience of working your way slowly through a traffic jam that bit less frustrating.

If you’re interested in learning in an automatic, PassMeFast can help, as all of our courses can be taken in either a manual or an automatic car. Please note that prices may vary by transmission.

Take our 15-hour course as an example. If you wanted to complete this very intensively, you could take 5 hours of lessons per day over just 3 days. Alternatively, you could choose a semi-intensive pace, with two-hour sessions spread out over a longer period—or go in between, with 3-4 hour sessions over a 5 day period.

As you can see, we offer plenty of flexibility—but the one constant across all of our courses is the level of service we provide to each and every one of our students. All of our learners get:

Support from our office team who organise the course and deal with all the admin

One-on-one driving lessons with a DVSA-approved driving instructor

Fast-track practical test, if included, at a time, date and test centre to suit your needs

At PassMeFast, we help you to get on the road quickly without compromising on quality. But don’t just take our word for it—read what our alumni have to say by checking our customer reviews!

Practical Driving Test Centres in Southwark

There’s a reason why you never hear of anyone having to cross London Bridge or to drive past Borough Market on their practical test—there are no practical test centres in Southwark. The DVSA have (probably wisely) decided that the slight inconvenience of having to travel a little further is outweighed by not throwing already-nervous test candidates into the proverbial fire that is central London traffic. If you’re in the Southwark area, this means you’ll need to head to Hither Green in neighbouring Lewisham to take your test. Your instructor will pick you up from home or work to take you to your practical—and, if you wish, they can accompany you during your test.

And did you know almost 9 in 10 people pass their driving test in the first three attempts? That’s why we’ve introduced PassProtect — giving you three attempts for the price of one.

Theory Test Centres in Southwark

While Southwark’s location doesn’t quite lend itself to a practical test centre, its proximity to much of central London means it’s an ideal place to site a theory test centre—so, the DVSA did exactly that. Southwark test centre is located a short walk from London Bridge, making it easily accessible from across the area.

PassMeTheory is an online theory revision session, where we go over the most difficult areas of the test. 9 out of 10 people said they felt more confident about their test after their session.

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

Getting your theory test passed is a crucial part of learning to drive—not least because you can’t book a practical test without doing so. Make sure you include a theory test when you book your PassMeFast course, and we’ll sort the arrangements out for you.

Driving Around Southwark

Southwark is one of the two endpoints of the A2, has the A3 and South Circular running through it, and is (without putting too fine a point on it) slap bang in the middle of one of the planet’s busiest cities. All of this is to say that, when you’re driving in Southwark, you can expect a fair degree of traffic.

When you get out to the more residential areas of Southwark, different challenges emerge. Driving safely through streets lined with cars on both sides requires plenty of observation, and the ability to make judgements about when to proceed and when to give way, amongst a myriad of other skills. You’ll cover all of this (and much more!) during your lessons, where your instructor will show you how to take to the road safely and confidently.
