The only theory test centre in Pembrokeshire can be found in the county town of Haverfordwest. This test centre is nice and centrally located, just a short stroll from the train station. Very handy for those who are not able to drive yet!
Want to be ready to smash your theory test when the big day comes? You’d better read our guide then! We’ve packed it full of useful information. This includes pass rates, study guides, directions and more!

These statistics aren’t all that pretty. In fact, Haverfordwest’s pass rates are consistently below the national average. Keep in mind that the test is going to be the same wherever you take it, so these numbers don’t really have any impact on individual learners.
No matter which theory test centre you decide to go to, the best way to prepare is by revising the material that’s covered on the test. The theory test is divided into two parts: a multiple choice section and a hazard perception test. You need to earn a pass mark on both sections to pass the overall test. Even if you get an impressively high score on one, you can end up with an overall fail!
You’ll know you’re ready to pass the theory test when you can pass mock tests with ease. We therefore advise you to get hold of some of these so that you can test yourself each time you complete a revision session. Here are some other study aids we find useful:
Even if you call it home, Haverfordwest may not be where you want to take the theory test. If this is how you feel, you are welcome to check out other options in the surrounding area. Start with Swansea and Aberystwyth, as these are likely to be the closest nearby alternatives.
Once you pass the theory test there’s little time to celebrate (though you should—it’s a great achievement!) because it’s now time to start getting ready for the practical test. This usually takes a bigger investment of time and energy than the theory test. Thankfully, though, if you do it right, you’ll have the help and guidance of an instructor the whole time.
Not sure where to find a reliable, local driving instructor? We can help! PassMeFast has connections all over Britain, and as soon as you sign up for one of our courses we’ll start the hunt for your perfect instructor. On top of that, we’ll book your test for you. With our fast-tracking system, you can get a date that’s usually weeks or even months ahead of those available when you check the DVSA website.
To see what we can do for you, give us a ring on 0333 123 4949. We just need to know how much driving experience you have (if any) and the timeframe within which you’d ideally like to pass your test. With that information we can start organising your ideal course!
