Arriving at Salford Theory Test Centre

By public transport

You’ll be pleased to learn that Salford benefits from exceptional public transport links. The closest tram stop to the test centre will be Harbour City—though both MediaCityUK and Broadway are only a short distance away. If you prefer to take the bus, you won’t be short of options either. Central Bay, Winnipeg Quay and The Lowry are all bus stops that are 1-2 minutes’ walk from the centre. The closest train station is Salford Crescent, though it will be a 30-minute walk to the centre from here. If you are travelling by train, it might be an idea to use a combination of train and bus or tram. For more specific details of routes and times, consult the Salford City Council website.

By car

You could also go for the option of driving to the test centre. Tap M50 3AH in to your sat nav and hit the road! You should eventually find yourself on Trafford Road. From there, follow signs to The Quays. Once you reach the roundabout, your destination should be on the left. Keep an eye out for signs on the building indicating Sovereign Point.

Parking

By far your best option when it comes to parking is the Lowry Outlet Mall (M50 3AH) which, handily, is just next door. They charge £2 for 2 hours. With 1800 spaces, you shouldn’t have any problems finding a spot! If that doesn’t work out, you may find prices elsewhere get a little steeper. Using the nearby Imperial War Museum’s (M17 1TZ) spaces will set you back a rather hefty £5 for 2 hours, and it’s a 12-minute walk to the centre. Then again, if you want to grab a real bargain and don’t mind a 16-minute walk, you should definitely opt for Capital Quay (M50 3WL). They only charge 10p for 2 hours!
