If you really want to cut down on the walking and be taken almost door-to-door, hop on a bus instead. The Chapel Road (Stop P) bus stop is literally just over 150 ft away from the test centre.

By car
We appreciate that plenty of people prefer to be driven to their theory test rather than take their chances on public transport, and that’s definitely an option if you’re heading to Ilford. Simply enter IG1 2FS into a sat nav and follow the instructions.
As always with Greater London, avoid travelling around rush hour as the roads are likely to be particularly busy.
Parking
As you may have anticipated, the theory test centre does not provide parking spaces for those visiting. You do, however, have plenty of parking options close by. The closest to the test centre is Clements Road car park (IG1 1AG), which is 3 minutes away. For 2 hours of parking here you’ll be charged a very affordable £2.
Ilford theory test centre’s pass rates sometimes fall below the national average. No need to take this as a cause for concern, however—pass rates don’t really reflect how well you are going to do if you take the test in this location. At the end of the day, it’s all down to the individuals in question taking the test. The format and timing of the theory will be the same no matter where you take it.
