What To Expect On The Day

Once your big day finally arrives, you’ll want to triple check that you’ve got your provisional with you. Make sure you’re punctual as well—the DVSA asks that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment starts. After meeting the examiner, your driving test will then follow this structure:

  • An eyesight test, where you’ll need to read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres
  • Two “show me, tell me” questions covering vehicle safety and maintenance
