How To Get There

As you progress through your driving lessons, your instructor will take you around the Inveraray test centre and its local roads, slowly building up your knowledge of the area. This means you don’t have to worry about finding it all by yourself. Of course, if you’re an eager beaver and can’t wait to take a peek before your lessons start, you can use these simple directions!

A Bit More About Inveraray

When it comes to your driving test route, the examiner will leave no stone unturned in their attempts to make sure that you’re ready to take to the roads unsupervised. The Inveraray test centre is surrounded by a range of local businesses, not to mention the bustling A83, which means that heavy road and foot traffic is likely. To stay on the ball, you’ll need to keep making your observations—don’t forget your blindspots either!

The examiner won’t keep you in the Inveraray area for long. Eventually, they’ll guide you onto the A83 or the A819. This will give them a chance to monitor your ability to adapt to different speed systems and your overall speed awareness. As you head further afield, you’ll encounter more rural roads—pay close attention to your speed when you approach any bends!

Wondering where your driving test manoeuvre will fit in? The examiner will probably pick out a local car park, or a quiet road, in the Inveraray area.
