What happens in a UK driving test?
The driving test is split into five sections. First you'll perform a quick eyesight test, which involves reading a number plate from 20 metres away. You'll be asked a 'tell me' question, and the 'show me' question will be asked while you're driving.
For the majority of the test, your general driving ability will be tested. This involves the examiner guiding you where to go whilst assessing your driving. Next, you'll need to do a reversing manoeuvre, before finally doing some independent driving.
Independent driving involves following a sat nav or road signs to a certain destination. But don't worry, you won't be penalised for taking a wrong turn.
