You’ll get a choice of eight different courses, all of which are available in both manual and automatic cars. You can also choose the structure of your course—our 10-hour course, for example, can be taken over just 2 days, or spread out over a 5 day period.

If this sounds like a good choice for you, select an automatic car when booking. Please note that prices may vary by transmission.

Practical Driving Test Centres in Halifax

Learners in Halifax have it easier than some when it comes to the practical test, as there’s a test centre located right here. If the Halifax test centre doesn’t work for you, there are plenty of other options throughout West Yorkshire, of which Huddersfield and Bradford Heaton are the closest. Don’t worry about getting to and from the test centre: we offer home pickups and workplace pickups, making it easy to fit your lessons around a busy schedule.

Theory Test Centres in Halifax

While Halifax’s learner drivers got lucky when it came to practical test centres, there’s no theory test centre to be found in the town. This isn’t too surprising, as there are only three in the whole of West Yorkshire. Thankfully, they’re all easy to reach by rail—just head to Bradford, Huddersfield or Leeds.

Haven't taken your theory test yet?

It's important to take your theory test—not only is it impossible to get your licence without it, but you can't even book a practical test without a valid theory test pass! We can sort your appointment out for you—simply add a theory test onto your course.

Driving Around Halifax

Those who’ve spent any amount of time driving around central Halifax will know just how tricky it can be. Firstly, dual carriageways such as the A58 and A629 lie in close proximity to the town centre—though their urban location means that they won’t feature the national speed limit. Add in two major roundabouts, and there’s plenty for a learner to get their head around (and that’s before you head into any residential or rural areas!)
